how illegal is weed? what happens if you get caught with some?
i’m getting charged for possession. i was in harrisburg and nervous looking at the maximums since it’s a misdemeanor.
have court this thursday. want to know what to expect.

It depends how much you were caught with. Dauphin County has a charge for possession of a small amount which I'm pretty sure will get you probation. Then there's simple probation and if you had enough, possession with the intent to distribute. Pretty sure a first offense of simple possession gets you probation but you'd do time for possession with intent.

Sitting is doing time , you're not gonna do time lol. I am speaking from experience, but I went down for M/D, possession with intent, and a myriad of other charges. Youre nowhere near time territory.

And how much did they get you with? Did they take you to the station, and did they let you out on bail or ROR?
my report says 0.8 grams but i’d argue less. it was mixed in a bag with tobacco.
i got taken into the station for a few hours till i could zoom a judge for arraignment since i don’t live in pennsylvania. have a california id but living in nyc.
out on bail but didn’t pay anything.
also, you think i’m fucked if i don’t have a public defender? it was a weekend so i couldn’t get one unless i came back to apply for one in person

Do they do that if the defendant is not a PA resident? He should really have a talk with his lawyer.
