I remember the R's trying to pass a law that the state legislature could ignore the Governor in a state of emergency, that BTW, they could declare. Does anyone know if that ever passed? PA could still be in trouble if that passed.

The state constitution was amended to limit disaster emergency declarations issued by the governor to 21 days. After that it must be extended by the general assembly. Prior to the pandemic there was no time limit for the governor's declarations.
