Had to Google…Cordyceps is a fungus that affects insects…thanks for piquing my curiosity!

I was going to say the same thing. What could happen if this was to turn on humans.

That’s when I first learned about them. “Haha what a scary sci fi creature… oh wait they’re REAL?”

Did you post this to any of the insect subs? I bet they would love to see this really cool, very crisp, image of whateverthehellthisis. :)

Yes, my wife hit r/whatsthisbug . Very helpful!

I love the r/whatsthis____ network. The users are usually super helpful. I follow the birds one, and those users are really fast.
SilverVixen23 t1_ix5zenm wrote
The best posts on the bird sub are when the pictures contain maybe 8 pixels of what is supposedly a bird and people can still come up with an ID.
Edit: oh, and the posts of birds drawn in Microsoft Paint
susinpgh t1_ix61obr wrote
Oh, right? I totally love the MS paint posts! I am in that position right now because of a bird I spotted in my backyard today.
SchnauzerHaus OP t1_ix58cml wrote
Yeah, they’re great communities! We use the birds, too. So helpful when you see something weird you’ve never seen before, and to be able to share it, and have it identified is great!

Why is that community locked like that

Where is it located in Montco?
laneyflitt t1_ix924q4 wrote
Just north of East Greenville in Upper Perk. Close to the border with Lehigh County. I used to live in Lehigh County and would drive down occasionally.
