Listen up everyone, I'm going to post this in a few subs because I need y'all to really hear this. STOP BELIEVING EVERYTHING THE POLLS SAY AND STOP GETTING SO EASILY DISCOURAGED AND CALLING IT PRAGMATISM. The fact that all it takes is for a downtrend, even temporarily, to hit the news cycle for you to say to yourself "well if it's trending this way why put the time and energy into it since it's not going to go the way I want?" Is so incredibly pathetic. I really wish I understood why it's so easy to get the Democrats to fold and so hard to get the Republicans to come to their senses. Like we have right on our side we are fighting for working people and to make this planet a better and more sustainable space, why does that not give us the energy to keep pushing in an aggressive manner the way the Republicans have been doing for decades. We need to take some of their aggressive energy and put it to causes that actually help people.
They are super aggressive and super organized and super unified in bullshit like taking away our voting rights and taken away women's reproductive Rights why can't we be just as energetic about making sure they stay intact? Recent polls that are coming out showing that Dr Oz can potentially pull this thing out should be even more of a motivation to get in your friend's and families ears and encourage them to vote. So many of you have been writing in the comment section over the last couple of days that Dr Oz is going to pull out a last-second victory because of a Fox News Poll, that was Then picked up by the hill in other publications. If you ask anyone who listens and watches Fox News regularly, or even CNN this last year or so, who they're voting for we should all be able to make an educated guess as to who they are going to choose. We showed up in 2020 there is no reason why we shouldn't be showing up this year when so much is at stake all over again.
I understand why some of you get so easily discouraged but just keep in mind the bulls dynasty was not built overnight. Before 2015 did anyone give a fuck about the warriors? These issues that we are dealing with as millennials and gen z and Gen x citizens are not going to be fixed overnight but we have to start trending in the right direction so we can build a better bench so that when a superstar gets drafted or gets traded to our team we are ready to make a championship run. These new polls that are being Cherry picked should scare you into being that annoying friend who is making sure your loved ones are getting out to vote either early or on election day. My S.O. and I made a plan because I was not able to get off work on Tuesday so we are going to get up very early, take care of her first, then take care of me, then off to work I go. It seems like just like with basketballs politics is a game of runs and momentum and I think if we can stay the course and whether the storm we will come out on top.
Once again we showed up in 2020 and we were able to pull out something I never thought could be done, making a president a one-term president, as well as get some fresh blood in some of these House and Senate seats. We have to start learning how to draft well and develop our players into what we need them to be in order to make it to the mountaintop but we aren't going to get there if we keep telling ourselves we can't do it. So I am begging and pleading, with all of you, to believe in our ability to make change slowly but surely by putting more people in who will empathize with our issues, and who's feet can be held to the fire when it comes to accountability.
