Oh, interesting. What do you think of the editorial?

"Mr. Fetterman’s health — he suffered a serious stroke in May — is not the issue. His lack of transparency, however, in refusing to release his medical records is troubling. It suggests an impulse to conceal and a mistrust of the people. All candidates for a major elected office should release their medical records, as did Mr. Oz. If you want privacy, don’t run for public office."

No-Professional-1884 t1_iuf6cs9 wrote

So no issue with policy but the fact he did not produce medical records? How about they just say they are biased and would support Oz no matter what and call it a day.

Legitimate question. What is Fettermans policy on fracking?

5

Odd_Description_2295 t1_iufzb3d wrote

Fetterman, when he was a braddock pa mayor, supported reverting brownfields (im assuming you know what those are? They are former industrial sites that require expensive mitigation to get them back to useable land space)to support braddock pa revenue. By allowing companies to drill on those former industrial sites, thus paying for mitigation. As well as taking steps toward using lng for steel making

This was left up to a town hall, abd the citizens of braddock rejected the lease offer. And that was the end of it. Fettermna stood behind his constituents choice.

Here's what the editorial said on policy:

>During Tuesday’s debate, after hundreds of thousands of votes had already been cast, voters finally learned something about where the candidates stood. They learned, among other things, that Mr. Oz opposes federal intervention in abortion rights, and Mr. Fetterman supports the broader Constitutional guarantees provided by the overturned Roe v. Wade decision. They learned Mr. Fetterman supports a federally mandated $15-an-hour minimum wage, and Mr. Oz wants market forces to raise wages. They learned both candidates support fracking. They also learned both men are politicians, as they ducked and dodged questions about why they had changed their minds on fracking.

Fetterman supports fracking? He should make that clear.

More from the editorial:

>"Mr. Fetterman’s life experience and maturity are also concerns. He has lived off his family’s money for much of his life. That has allowed him to do some good things, including mentoring disadvantaged young people and working to improve community policing and economic development in Braddock. That work, along with his six-foot-eight frame, shaved head and tattoos, attracted national media attention. Still, Mr. Fetterman, despite his hoodies and shorts, has little experience in holding real jobs or facing the problems of working people."

Ouch.

He owns more houses than most of us will live in. Vote for him if you want, but don't lie to yourself.

Christ just look at what that was actually about instead of repeating bullshit from a commercial you saw. He ran a non profit that refurbished buildings in his formerly dilapidated run down town. That non profit missed some payments due to a clerical error and it's taken care of now. It wasn't personal taxes or tax evasion or anything. What a sin that you don't look beyond the surface of the bullshit.

Shit oz hasn't paid pa taxes because he didn't live here until this year.

"BRADDOCK, Pa. —
Action News Investigates has learned that Braddock Mayor John Fetterman, a candidate for the U.S. Senate, has a history of unpaid taxes.
Court records show dozens of tax liens filed against Fetterman and an organization he leads."

Why doesn’t Oz release his PA state income tax filings and property tax filings for the last decade?

Fetterman is pro-Israel and held a black man a gun point for no reason. I am moderate as well as independent, but that is funny as I watch liberals become authoritarian at a rate the right-wing could never imagine.

Define fascism for me. I ask every one of you that uses the word, the ONE(out of hundreds) that answered me tried using Trump policies and I showed him Obama policies that were the exact same thing. So please, tell me what it is or stop using it as you aren't helping whatever your agenda is.

As far as I am concerned the closest acceptable behavior comparable to fascism has come from the left. I actually know what fascism is and where/how it started though.

−1

jmdunkle t1_iugnl0c wrote

Bud, if you think far-right, authoritarian, ultranationalist, militaristic, and holding beliefs that certain races are superior to others describes “liberals” more than the GQP, you never knew what fascism was (spoiler: you didn’t). Similarly, if you were truly a “moderate” and “independent” you wouldn’t have reacted defensively to my comment. No, I’d say you’re either a trump-loving astroturfer (a bad one, at that), or a reactionary pretending to be moderate to avoid scrutiny for the right-wing beliefs you actually hold. Either way, I give your attempt a 0/10

7

Gill03 t1_iukat65 wrote

None of that is true, give examples of that behavior. I don’t care about your opinion or interpretation. People thought Obama was a communist, they are as ignorant as you.

Trump is a populist. Nothing he ever did was fascist and you have no proof.

Your behavior trying to label me as an “other” for calling you out says a lot. Just so you know. But your behavior is a means to justify the ends though right?

Fascism is an extreme ideology, it should be easy to point out. If I asked you how Hitler was fascist you would be able to tell me exactly how I would hope. But you are just being hyperbolic for the sake of a narrative and practicing authoritarianism. A product of surrounding yourself with like minded people who don’t challenge the stupid shit you say.

I voted for Obama twice and Biden so your tactics don’t work on me you will actually have to back up what you say.

John Fetterman, the lieutenant governor of Pennsylvania and the Democratic frontrunner in next month’s high-profile Senate primary, said he was “eager to affirm” his “unwavering” commitment to bolstering ties between the United States and Israel in an interview with Jewish Insider on Thursday, emphasizing that he will “lean in” on such efforts if he is elected to the upper chamber this November.

“Whenever I’m in a situation to be called on to take up the cause of strengthening and enhancing the security of Israel or deepening our relationship between the United States and Israel, I’m going to lean in,” Fetterman declared in his first conversation with a Jewish publication since he launched his campaign more than a year ago. “The relationship is a special one that needs to be safeguarded, protected, supported and nurtured through legislation and all available diplomatic efforts in the region.”
