"In the 2010s, the editorial tone of the paper shifted from liberal to conservative".

Oh, interesting. What do you think of the editorial?

"Mr. Fetterman’s health — he suffered a serious stroke in May — is not the issue. His lack of transparency, however, in refusing to release his medical records is troubling. It suggests an impulse to conceal and a mistrust of the people. All candidates for a major elected office should release their medical records, as did Mr. Oz. If you want privacy, don’t run for public office."

So no issue with policy but the fact he did not produce medical records? How about they just say they are biased and would support Oz no matter what and call it a day.

Legitimate question. What is Fettermans policy on fracking?

Odd_Description_2295 t1_iufzb3d wrote

Fetterman, when he was a braddock pa mayor, supported reverting brownfields (im assuming you know what those are? They are former industrial sites that require expensive mitigation to get them back to useable land space)to support braddock pa revenue. By allowing companies to drill on those former industrial sites, thus paying for mitigation. As well as taking steps toward using lng for steel making

This was left up to a town hall, abd the citizens of braddock rejected the lease offer. And that was the end of it. Fettermna stood behind his constituents choice.

There really is no safe way to frack. Nor should we be ravaging the natural resources of this state.

Here's what the editorial said on policy:

>During Tuesday’s debate, after hundreds of thousands of votes had already been cast, voters finally learned something about where the candidates stood. They learned, among other things, that Mr. Oz opposes federal intervention in abortion rights, and Mr. Fetterman supports the broader Constitutional guarantees provided by the overturned Roe v. Wade decision. They learned Mr. Fetterman supports a federally mandated $15-an-hour minimum wage, and Mr. Oz wants market forces to raise wages. They learned both candidates support fracking. They also learned both men are politicians, as they ducked and dodged questions about why they had changed their minds on fracking.

Fetterman supports fracking? He should make that clear.

More from the editorial:

>"Mr. Fetterman’s life experience and maturity are also concerns. He has lived off his family’s money for much of his life. That has allowed him to do some good things, including mentoring disadvantaged young people and working to improve community policing and economic development in Braddock. That work, along with his six-foot-eight frame, shaved head and tattoos, attracted national media attention. Still, Mr. Fetterman, despite his hoodies and shorts, has little experience in holding real jobs or facing the problems of working people."

Ouch.

Yeah, surely oz is well in touch with the average working person.

Man you really want to see something that just isn't there. The guy was sending emails to birx and kushner promoting hydroxychloroquine. He made the bulk of his wealth from quack cures that he knew did not work. He obviously doesn't even go grocery shopping. He only lives here now because he wants to be a senator. He owns more houses than most of us will live in. Vote for him if you want, but don't lie to yourself.

LetsPlayCanasta OP t1_iuftnpa wrote

I hear he pays his property taxes. Unlike, ya know...

2

your_late t1_iufuxzc wrote

Christ just look at what that was actually about instead of repeating bullshit from a commercial you saw. He ran a non profit that refurbished buildings in his formerly dilapidated run down town. That non profit missed some payments due to a clerical error and it's taken care of now. It wasn't personal taxes or tax evasion or anything. What a sin that you don't look beyond the surface of the bullshit.

Shit oz hasn't paid pa taxes because he didn't live here until this year.

DoctorSteve t1_iug3vgs wrote

I highly, highly doubt he pays his taxes.

Cool story about...Oz paying the taxes he owed.

Unlike Fetterman: "Senate candidate John Fetterman owed thousands in unpaid taxes, records show"

https://www.wtae.com/article/senate-candidate-john-fetterman-owed-thousands-in-unpaid-taxes-records-show/7479117#

"BRADDOCK, Pa. —
Action News Investigates has learned that Braddock Mayor John Fetterman, a candidate for the U.S. Senate, has a history of unpaid taxes.
Court records show dozens of tax liens filed against Fetterman and an organization he leads."

Whoops!

Fetterman bought houses in Pennsylvania through nonprofit work for other people and the community. Oz bought houses in other states for himself.

Why doesn’t Oz release his PA state income tax filings and property tax filings for the last decade?

Let's scale this up.

If he selectively overvalued and undervalued his assets to enrich himself, and laundered Russian money through his properties, and was born a billionaire, would that ascend him up to GOD EMPEROR status with you instead?

Unpaid taxes 😂 give me a break. Meanwhile your dear cult leader owes everything and was born with everything and is in court all the time for everything.
