Quick question. My wife & I are expecting in January and have a somewhat unique situation. I have a hyphenated last name, let's call it Philly-Eagles. We got married during COVID so my wife never got around to changing her last name yet, let's call it Green. We would like to give the child the last name Eagles (in this scenario), but since my legal full last name is Philly-Eagles, are we allowed to only take part of my last name? Or do I need to legally change my last name to Eagles first?

You can give your child any name you choose. If you’re taking suggestions I’d go with Dragon.
