My husband has a philly-eagles last name, I took his name philly and we also gave our baby the last name philly

Thank you for this. Did you take his Philly name when you originally applied for the marriage certificate or after you were legally married? My wife and I are having a hard time figuring that part out since everything happened in 2020 and no government offices were open. On our marriage certificate she still has her original last name, so I'm hoping we can still use marriage as the reason for the name change instead of petitioning through the court system.

It was after the marriage certificate. I did it through our local prothonotary office but I know it was after we were married because my maiden name is on our marriage certificate too prothonotary office list PA
