Those assholes tried to charge me $104, $100 of which were fees because it didn't read my transponder and I didn't have the plate linked to the account. One notice received in the mail. Only after I threatened to involve my state rep did they "waive" the fee and charged me the $4 they should have.

Not the PA Turnpike...but...

I was going to Richmond, VA for an event many years ago. I took the DC Expressway, which recognizes EZ Pass. I drove down to Richmond and drove back to Pittsburgh using the DC Expressway.

I got a letter in the mail stating that I did not have an EZ Pass and was billed a higher rate for the DC Expressway and fees for manual processing of my license plate. I contact them, gave them my transponder number and told them that I drove on the DC Expressway twice - my transponder was picked up by their system and billed properly once, but somehow their system missed the transponder the second time.

They waived the additional fees, but still forced me to pay the higher rate for the DC Expressway.

I’ve had this happen more than 5 times since I’ve had a transponder for 15 years+. You can call and tell them your EZ Pass transponder # and they give you the EZ Pass rate.

I had that and I just went online and there was a button to challenge it. Only state that gave me hassle was delaware

Yea I guess I didn't specify that this was a PA Ezpass but the issue was with New Hampshire. I didn't realize they were actually different entities with the same name....not sure how that all works.

Neither do I. I got E-ZPass things from pa, nj, and DE. With a pa tag and the plate on file the only one I couldn't argue was DE bc they only do DE ones.
