Fisher, Bobcat, Coyote, Fox would be the primary suspects. Not sure if there are Fishers in PA though. Can confirm behavior from living in NH.

I’ve seen fishers in Garrett County MD just near the PA line, it could be one

Yes there are Fishers in NW PA for sure. Someone I know run a trap line and catches them.
