It’s not a hub airport so unfortunately the long distance/international access isn’t going to be great, I don’t think the airports in similarly sized cities (besides hubs like Denver, Salt Lake, or Charlotte) are going to be any better in that department.

I thought there were a few nonstops to LAX, SFO and SEA?

There are 125 daily non-stops to a good mix of large, medium and small cities. There is a nonstop to Heathrow. That's pretty good coming out of the pandemic. Other international flights are only one stop from close airports in New York, Newark, Washington, Philadelphia, Detroit and Chicago.

There are daily directs to SEA and SFO. There is a direct to LAX but it’s on Spirit so, no thanks.

The new airport is going to be amazing, complete overhaul and self sustaining.

Yeah, our airport is pretty decent! I don't understand why we need a new one.

They must have never used it.

The airport has done so many things well. There’s a unique sensory lounge space for travelers who may benefit from it, for example. But the lack of nonstop west coast and international access is disappointing.
