Is there ever a time where anyone says, "you know what? There's too little crime here. We need a bit more!"

I’ve seen this guys channel. I find anyone that does “poverty tourism” to be pretty loathsome. I’d like to know where he’s from that makes him so much fucking better than everyone.

Even his more “normal-ish” videos tend to be a little cringe with a bit of racism and classism in his humor.

If anyone likes that kind of video talking about different places without nearly as much cringe, I would recommend the YT channel: The World According to Briggs

He is still definitely an older gentleman who makes older gentleman gaffes occasionally, but at the very least he isn’t trying to be offensive on purpose

As I said, there are some things that he says that are definitely a little iffy too, but at least in the videos I’ve watched of him, it seemed to come down mostly to poor phrasing, unlike the more blatant ill-intent of the Nick guy.

That said, I am open to being wrong if there is an example shown to me

Does anyone really care what Nick Johnson thinks? He loves the sound of his own voice.

I was born and live in the city of Reading, and It definitely can be dangerous around some neighborhoods. Most of the violence is between gangs and individuals they know, usually something personal and drug related, but intimidation by gang members and crimes against random civilians can and do happen in the worst neighborhoods. "South Side". As posters have said, many are not originally from Reading. Lots of gangs from NYC and Philly moving here. Reading is also a sanctuary city, so it logically attracts many illegals to come here for cheaper, more affordable pastures. Many are good people, like the Mexicans across the street from me, and keep to themselves, but some are bad, like the tatted up MS13 thugs and low level drug dealers who prowl the streets and harass women and try to recruit kids to carry out acts of violence for them. Bigger gangs like Latin Kings, who have a dominant presence in the city, don't tolerate that, and that often causes conflict and violence to break out. There are also lots of mentally unstable people walking the streets, people of all colors, causing problems for everyone else. The reality is Reading is a city where you have to be vigilant and lock your doors, more so than most places.

Can't speak for Chester, but Reading is turning into a shooting alley. Just check the local emergency responders Facebook page.

It's becoming the cheap stop for drugs and gangs moving product between New York and Philly.

No. I live in Muhlenburg. It's not as bad as people make it out to be. 2000/2001 was the worst. So bad they allowed other jurisdictions to cross over.
