Yes, both parties are exactly the same, right?

Because, if this was republicans, nothing would have been done and no one would have stepped down. Only reason this will continue to broil is because he stepped down, that's where Dems go wrong, they admit wrong doing. Sometimes it does take a bit to get them there though. Never admit anything, the electorate has proven time and time again they don't care.

You literally voted for a president that bragged about grabbing women by the pussy. Fuck off trying to say anything about dems being sexual deviants. Dems might not have a clean house, and there's definitely smoke, but your house is on fire my friend.

knowing about allegations is not the same thing as having evidence.

Now begins the fight and insults between political parties...

And the important issue is forgotten amongst the childish behavior.

And in the article it details what actions they took. But of course that’s not in the headline.

If sexual harassment occurs, it needs to be addressed immediately - period. It is sad to see republicans still reticent to get totally on board with this.

Lol what are you talking about? This guy and anybody who knew about this and said nothing are scumbags.

And you’re a whiny little asshole, to boot. Go whine somewhere else.

No, I'm saying that you can't prosecute criminal activity based upon rumors and hearsay. Those could be the basis for an investigation, but you need actual proof in order to convict. It's one of the basic principles of our legal system.

The House Democrats forced Zabel to attend counseling and mandatory training. Zabel then continued his pattern of abuse for years. The House Democrats knowingly put women at risk of harassment and sexual assault.

If you care about women, this should disgust you.

Dems told Zabel to get counseling.

Repubs told the wife beaters in their midst to do what? Oh. Right. To create fake figures (looking at you Frankie Ryan) and letters (looking at you Diamond) which helped create the false narrative Dush and MastriaNO tried pushing down our throats.

Nothing?

You've not read that AG's Report on that.

And the folks lobbying the legislature to do nothing? Right. Republicans. Which group btw includes a former state senator convicted of possessing kiddie porn.

Republicans are so irrelevant on this one. Republicans think sexual assault is wrong because it's an affront to the spousal-owner of the baby production unit.

It would be nice to have both, but we need at least one party to not be the "grab em by the pussy" party.

I’m a Democrat. We should have removed this dude from his position. This isn’t about party affiliation. Don’t make it about that. If you thought this guy was innocent, then why make him take all those classes? Not a good look.

How is that different from any other assault allegation? If you claim that some one punched you in the arm, they aren't going to just take your word for it and arrest the guy. How do you provide evidence?

Again, if a woman gets her boob bopped or butt patted by a guy, how does the woman provide evidence? What you provide is an orange to my apple. A punch may result in an observable bruise which could be evidence whereas an unwanted pat on the arse will leave no mark. Or do you think the police will dust her butt for fingerprints?

obsolete-man t1_jc475no wrote

So, what would you propose? Any time someone makes an allegation that they were inappropriately touched that the accused should be presumed guilty and immediately lose their position? be arrested? That's just complete nonxense.

That was my question to you. To which you responded with whining. Sometimes, when there are multiple women making similar accusations, see, Bill Clinton and Donald Trump, you have to believe the accusers.

You provide no solution at all. What you attempt to do is two fold: answer my question by asking a bunch of questions (including a question to the primary question) and by attempting to apply criminal evidence standards to what at best can be described as either civil or administrative (i,e, ethics committee) allegations.

Not how this works.
