I got a ticket for talking on my phone while driving to AC in Oct 2021. The cop said he’d send the ticket in the mail and it never came. I honestly forgot about it also. Eventually (6 months later or something) mail came that said I had to have a zoom court date and that my license had been suspended. So I had the court date, paid the fine, and PENNDOT still says my license is indefinitely suspended due to this issue. How do I get NJ to report it as satisfied to PENNDOT? I tried to call both but of course got hung up on due to high call volumes.

When was it paid? Normally there is a suspension period, how long of a suspension were you given? When did it start?

It was an indefinite suspension because I didn’t reply to the ticket initially (because nothing came in the mail)

This is a lawyer's site, but appears you have work to do. https://licenserestorationpa.com/

Get a copy from NJ that you did what was needed and then get it into hands of PA DMV.
I can tell you NJ is horrible for this, absolutely horrible. You might want to call your local congressperson, they can get things rolling better.

Thanks for that. Can’t believe this all stemmed from talking on the phone while driving. If there’s a lesson I learned from this, it’s stay out of New Jersey.

Asking because I have to drive in Jersey, but was it hands free or were you holding a phone?

I was holding it if I remember correctly. PA isn’t a hands free state (at least I don’t think so) so I didn’t think anything of it.

Get a certified copy of payment and submit that in-person to PennDOT.

Because you posted it. It’s out there for people to comment on. It’s been a lawn in. We jersey for years that you have to be hands free.
