Hi. A group of friends and I are planning a weekend getaway to Poconos and stay at a Airbnb. What’s fun there to do around March? We were thinking hiking but wondering if there’s some other activities. Thanks!

I live a mile from Beltzville and always thought that was strictly a Memorial Day to Labor Day weekend thing, lol.
Visit Jim Thorpe. Check out Big Boulder Tavern. Maybe some hiking? Im also going in end of March, plan on just chilling and enjoying the quiet.
Check Lake Harmony area for activities.
Depending on where you go, it may be close to Mt Airy Casino.
See if there is a show at penns peak. Great venue. Do u golf plenty of coures
I live here and hiking the D&L trail from Glen Onoko to Rockport in Lehigh Gorge Park; the Switchback Trail from JT to Mauch Chunk Lake; the Shades of Death trail at Hickory Run Park are all nice.
The weekend train ride out of JT into the Gorge
Walking downtown JT and Stroudsburg. Some of the local wineries and brewpubs are nice.
Penn's Peak and the Sherman Theater often have events scheduled.

It briefly tried to freeze in the Pine Run cove under the bridge a couple times but that was it.
Maybe La Niña will fuck off next year and we’ll have more seasonable weather. I know our climate is expected to become more like the Carolina’s in upcoming decades, but year by year weather can always be somewhat variable
Yeah, likely that scenario. I like long true cold winters and some snow (no ice or mud).

Most aren’t open in March.
Jim Thorpe, PA is one place to visit. Bushkill Falls is another, if you want to hike. For hiking there’s also the Delaware Water Gap.
Pleasure dome is cool. They also got a wawa up there.
Maybe a ski resort for pond skimming or, if you're lucky with weather, tubing.

Ziplining/outdoor adventures should be open by then, I've done Camelback's once. That was fun.
The other side of the Switchback trail where it goes up the mountain is pretty gnarly with the scenic view and leftover train relics.
If you're going to Jim Thorpe, check out the Mauch Chunk Opera House. Mostly tribute bands, but they are exceptional bands in an amazing venue.

Pennsylvania in March is muddy and kind of barren for hiking. There’s a good Indian restaurant in Tannersville called the Tandoor Palace.
Martin Guitar is not too far away and has factory tours.
Tons of brew pubs in the area.

Pennsylvania weather in March can range from warmish (45-55) to stormy with rain or feet of snow. It is a transitional month and unpredictable. It's also the mud season, so if you plan outdoor activities have some indoor things planned as a backup.
We got screwed on a bachelor weekend in May last year. What should have been beautiful spring was a weekend of downpours and 40 degree temps.
2 things we did that helped make it fun was indoor gokarting (don’t know the town) and also a e throwing that was near my airy casino
The casino itself was meh.
Kalahari indoor water park, crossings shopping outlet, mt airy casino, camelback snow tubing if weather permits.
