Not sure if the place is still there.. last time I went it was maybe 2012/2013. It was a really old school place that served up hot dogs, hamburgers, fries, etc. What was special was their chili that you could ask for on hot dogs and burgers. It was chili, onions and mustard I believe.

This place was in Paterson, I believe on a corner or near a corner.. and I remember behind it was a river or a lake. Across from the place, I remember it being pretty industrial looking.

I loved that place, Libby’s right behind the Passaic River. I read somewhere that the owners unfortunately owed years of taxes and were forced to close. If I knew that, I would have started a Go Fund Me for them. On a side note, I remember growing up in Paterson and there was no shortage of joints line that. I live off Market Street by E. 22 and had Teddy’s, River St had Johnny and Hanges, there was one by the falls I think called Falls View, there was a small place on what’s now know as Memorial Drive, I think it was called Paterson Street, another one on Rt. 20 close to Fair Lawn and of course at Grants Department on Main. Let me think about the Pizza places!

Libby’s owed back rent for several years which is why they closed. It was the last Texas Weiner spot in the town that invented them. The rest of the old ones moved out to the suburbs (Falls View and Johnny and Hanges) or closed down.
