I can't recall a post, ever, where the photo and the title matched so perfectly. I have never seen or heard of these guys, but if you'd shown me this photo and asked me to caption it, I'd have said: Russian heavy metal band "Udar" 1987

Don't know about these guys, but I know that guitarist Yuri Kasparyan of Kino had a Yamaha SG200. Also, the USSR did make some musical equipment of their own. Synths, for example, that were made in the USSR, like the formanta polivoks, were pretty good.
