My dear old dad in likely the 1970s. I found this photo while packing for a move and I was struck by his incredible hair and impeccable style. As you can tell, my dad was an absolute rock star, both in the world of fashion, and computer science/programming.

After finding more and more pictures of him through the decades, I can only hope to be half as fashion conscious as my dad. What a dude.

Sadly, he passed away at the very end of February, 2022. RIP Mullet Mike.

(He cut down the lion-esque mullet a bit entering the 80s and added a rockin' stache. By the mid 80s, his mullet was gone, but his moustache remained.)

Tall, with the chiseled jaw, perfect teeth… His smile says it all. Your dad had it going on.

Sorry for your loss. Lost my dad in ‘17 and literally just looked at his remeberance card this morning. Looking at this photo, his confidence is evident. Being this Reddit, tell us, did you get the looks or the brains?

I've got his chin and jaw line, but they're kind of hidden under an overweight man's face. When I was a kid we looked alike, but as I got older I took more after my Irish mum's side.

When dad gained weight due to cancer medication though, the resemblance came out again.

As for my brains, nah. I never took to coding and computer science, I'm more of a creative. While my dad was a whizz with DB2 databases and mass migrations of data (which once upon a time he was paid handsomely for), I've chosen the path of a VFX compositing artist.
