Perhaps the most iconic album cover/live performance photo ever taken.
It epitomizes everything about rock music in one simple image.
Photographed by Pennie Smith.

It’s such a good picture. I dabble in photography a bit and this is a perfect example of what makes a photograph great. Its barely in focus, it’s grainy, the highlights are blown and yet it’s utterly brilliant because it captures so much energy.

Agreed. For me it expresses a certain type of energy in the form of artistry and anger through performance.
I dabble in photography as well. One thing I’ve learned is that no matter what the conditions are just shoot. I’ve obtained some great images just by looking up while around walking, pulling out my (now phone) camera and shooting.

The secret track! Just when I thought it was all over, with no indication on the label, that octave-hopping guitar riff started.

It's one of those albums that doesn't have a song that you'd skip.

I like how santa clause is in the background running so mrs clause wouldn't see him in the photo

Pretty sure the cover design is a reference to Elvis Presley's self-titled album. Definitely iconic.
