Was talking about that with a buddy the other day, and we think it’s the clothing… young girls wear tank tops and yoga pants these days, while guys are in tshirts and jeans/shorts. The formal attire everyone wore back in the day visually ages them.

This is true. I’m younger than your mom but my mom had me and my brother dressed like Al Capone and Frank Nitty on Easter in the 60’s
