I can't imagine a family member owning a store when i was little, im sure if they did I would have been one chubby little child

Do you really think Casper would wear a picture of himself with his name?

I remember that costume from when I was 5. I went as a racecar driver and remember liking the Casper costume.

I had the same costume in 1962.,I’m sure I would have preferred to be Roy Rogers or The Lone Ranger but my mom bought the costume, so….

Current Joys - Kids. On YouTube for 5+ years with this as the photo. Great song IMO. Very curious about this photo, where it comes from, who owns the original, who the uploader is, etc.

Edit: Very interesting post/comment history, inexplicably.

Pretty sure I wore that in 76. In 77 I was rocking my Luke Skywalker costume.

That's what all pre-packaged halloween costumes were back then for some reason. Instead of a version of Batman's costume you'd get a Batman mask and a smock that said "Batman" with a picture of him swinging around or something.

Can confirm this was the most popular costume kit that year, along with the Creature from the Black Lagoon. These came in $3.00 kits at the local Walgreens, or independent drug stores.

I had a gi joe one in the early 90s, I think the crotch split before I even left the yard, and I cut my tongue on the little mouth hole.

A couple years ago I found the same costume at a thrift store with the box and the costume had a huge rip in the crotch too

I was 5 then and having a costume like that was the best thing all year , Sure the strap for the mask broke right away and it was hot and smelled funny .

My parents lived in Soviet Union. They told me there would be chewing gum every 6 months, no other candies in stores with sometimes some exceptions.. Crazy to see how much better other countries had it at that same time.

Ever notice that at the beginning of every cartoon, Casper is all alone wishing he had friends. Then by the end of the cartoon, everything works out and now he has friends, but then at the beginning of the next cartoon, he’s all alone again. What is he doing to piss everyone off between cartoons?
