I don't even like country music. I avoid it. But Dolly? I've seen her sing and her appearances on talk shows and such and I have liked every second. Her charm and sense of humor are stellar. I know people kid about her physique. But I think the key to her attraction is actually everyone looks at her and thinks, "Man. We could hang out."

She seems very down to earth and relatable especially when she’s speaking anecdotally to her audience between songs. She talks about her youth before she was famous and shares a lot about her early family life.

You know now that I think about it both Dolly and Loretta Lynn shared an Appalachian childhood mired in absolute poverty. I'm not sure why Dolly is so adored and Loretta isn't. Loretta doesn't have a lot of haters, but we don't hold them at the same level. Could be Lorettas years of addiction - I hope it's not just because Dolly is traditionally "pretty" and Loretta not so much.

She strikes me as kind. Not nice, as nice is often hollow or fake. Being nice as a psychopath is easy. You don’t care and just say the right words and all that.
But kind shines through. You go the extra mile, you give of yourself, you care about others. She has done a ton of work to help others, and I have never heard her say an unkind word.
