Notice on the side the pilot and the crew chief have the same last name. I wonder if they were brothers. Pretty cool dynamic if that was the case. One brother fixes up the plane while the other uses it to kill nazis.

I used to work at American Forces Network and there was this old Colonel who came in about once a year who was one of the last of the Tuskegee Airmen or maybe even the last one by that time.
It was always a big deal when he came in and he got the VIP treatment from everyone in the building.
