He may have been an actor, circa 1900-1920. Snap-photography hit the market in 1900, which made it easy for him to assume a facial expression.

This is indeed an actor (stage actor), William J. Florence, but he died in 1891.

It looks like he may have been a man of small stature judging by his fingers. Probably a successful actor from the looks of him🧐🤩
