I would nominate “You’re So Vain” by Carly Simon. The unbelievably catchy chorus carriers a couple not great verses.
Any other songs you can think of?

Tubthumping by Chumbawamba
Baker Street by Gerry Rafferty

Gucci gang - Lil Pump
I like the verses to You're So Vain and they were crucial in the game of trying to figure out who the song was about!
It was obviously about me.

Summer girls - lfo
I have the opposite issue with a certain well beloved song, so this opinion will probably give me a lot of downvotes, but I really don't like the chorus in Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb.
I like the verses and the lead guitar sections, but find the chorus so cheesy and sugary with its major chords and '80s sounding synth.
First verse is weak. Second verse is heartbreaking though. The third is better than the first; overall I agree.
Most jazz standards.
Smells Like Teen Spirit?
Honestly a lot of popular songs could answer this question.
The verse is a really good melody, the lyrics are nonsense
I mean I feel like that song heavily relies on the chorus.
Virtually every contemporary pop song. They’re all full of nonsensical versus and are built strictly on a catchy hook or chorus

Africa by Toto. The lyrics in the verses are nonsensical word salad but thr chorus redeems it making the song a complete earworm.
