Just heard happier than ever by Billie Eilish and it was cathartic getting to scream-cry-sing it while I was home alone. Just went through the worst break up of my life and don’t have any friends so I’ll be alone on new years. Please send your favourite sad songs to get me through it.

Torn to Pieces, Eye of the Storm and Breathe Again by Pop Evil. I found these to be very helpful for me and kind of have an order for me. Torn to Pieces first popped up on pandora for me when I was going through a really hard time. Eye of the Storm was that middle ground song for me, like yeah…things are really tough right now but they will get better. Breathe Again is that “I’m on the right track” song, where you can finally start to let go of these things holding you back.
Take Me Away by Killswitch Engage. Because sometimes even basics seem overwhelming and to much.
I know I’ve given you a bit of a novel and some or all of these might not be your cup of tea so I’m sorry if that’s the case. I just wanted to share my favorites with you. Things will be better, take your time.

I don't about scream crying but I can get into a really weird emotional place with Sober by Tool, if you've ever seen the live video of this song you know what I mean. Even before I saw that video I would get in that same sort of place that James Maynard Keenan was in at that performance when I sang along to it.

I will also add, if you just want to wallow on New Years Eve then the only real answer to the question is My December by Linkin Park. The perfect answer to a question people are either too ashamed or afraid to ask in a time when everyone around you just seems a bit too happy for how you're feeling inside.

[Neck Deep - December] (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8NnQs3EtoqU) - About a heartbreak in December
"Pain is never permanent but tonight it's killing me
I hope you get your ballroom floor
Your perfect house with rose red doors
I'm the last thing you'd remember
It's been a long, lonely December
I wish I'd known that less is more
But I was passed out on the floor
That's the last thing I remember
It's been a long, lonely December"

I hope you are able to get over your ex before long & get back to enjoying everything around you, but don't be afraid to wrestle with these feelings & get them out fully.

To piggy back on my pal here, A Perfect Circle’s “Mer de Noms” record, specifically “3 Libras” & “Orestes” always hit me in the gut. I think this is Maynard’s best vocal work. Not much screaming on this record but it will most certainly evoke some feelings, to say the least.
