I played some Kendrick Lamar, lil baby,pusha-t, JID and lil Wayne and he mentioned he liked the message behind songs like “the bigger picture” but he also loved lil Wayne’s funny and creative bars. Rap is my fav genre and I have a very broad taste but I was hoping some of y’all may have country roots and could give me some suggestions. ALSO, he is a 36 year old man and would probably not be a fan of some of the new styles (uzi/thug/keed/) with the “borderline homosexual bars” (NOT MY WORDS! Just trying to paint a picture. All feedback would be GREATLY APPRECIATED

Add these in:

Sturgill Simpson - A Sailor’s Guide to Earth

OutKast - Stankonia

If he doesn’t like any of these, you need to walk away, your friend is lost.

There’s some good country music but the fact that he likes country rap means there may be no hope for him.
