I'm talking about the beautifully mixed natural sounding vocals that arent drenched in reverb, those dry sounding guitars and various instruments. Drums that sound like they're in the room. Various sound effects and tape looping type stuff. Orchestral instruments maybe? Instrumental or not, doesn't matter. It's ok if it's jazz. Just need something that sounds sonically like the later beatles especially Magical Mystery Tour, Sg Peppers, and The White Album.

Beatles contemporary you might like- Spirit- 12 Dreams of Dr. Sardonicus
Chicago's first albums had that same sort of clean, dry sound.
Also, you know the whole 70s MOR rock movement owes it's characteristic warm sound to George Martin and the Beatles- Fleetwood Mac for instance
For someone later who looks back to 60s music and production, try Paul Weller.
