I am curios if there is a (portable) speaker with high end surround sound, USB connector, bluetooth connectivity, CD-player and access to unlimitied music (access to spotify/apple music/youtube etc.) either by voice command or a built in screen?

I realize it is basiclly a computer with a good surround sound system speakers built in.

Surround sound? Like, 5.1 or 7.1? In a portable speaker?

Why?

So, yes, you need a computer with surround sound output and good speakers. Most 2-ch or 2.1-ch portable Bluetooth speakers are just a small class D amp with a Bluetooth board.

Realistically, you do most of it with something like a beefy microcontroller, but the streaming and voice commands are very computationally expensive compared to just receiving audio data via BT. You’re going to need a Raspberry Pi 3-equivalent or better to get the streaming services and I’m not even sure it can do the voice commands.

You can probably make it work with a low- or mid-range laptop, a USB 5.1 or 7.1 “sound card”, and a good set of speakers.

Forget surround sound, you can’t even get a proper Stereo output from a single portable speaker. You’ll be hearing everything in mono or fake stereo.

My fave portable speaker is Logitech S715i

It's just a regular portable speaker.

I think it sounds quite good.

Has nice bass when it's plugged into power.

Still sounds decent when just on battery.

I use that speaker to mix on.
