So, it has RCA but it's just one input? So I think I need a RCA that has the red white and yellow ends going into one? Then will that definitely work with the Arc HDMI? Fuck I'm getting old as well man hahaha all I have on the back of the soundbar is HDMI and optical

The record player is analog, so are the RCA outputs. It is not digital like optical or HDMI.
If you don't have any analog input, you need an ADC and I also think that a phono output may need an additional amplification to be at line level.
So you need to find a phono preamp with digital output.

Yeah. Maybe the soundbar has an optical input as well, so they could look for a pre-amp with that.

Ok so I have a preamp already but it still only RCA out of that

So RCA to optical seems like the best option

You need a phono preamp+analog to optical converter combo.

For real, no RCA on the back? God, I'm old.
