Post in a local forum (on reddit, facebook or elsewhere) asking for other people going to the concert you're going to and ask if they want to meet up beforehand to get a beer, a bite to eat, etc. Most likely someone else is in the same position as you wanting someone to enjoy the concert with, and the pre-concert thing will give you a chance to figure out if they are someone you will enjoy sharing the concert with or if you should just enjoy it seperately. It might take a few tries, but you might end up with a good friend in the end.

People that become friends very often find that they have similar artistic tastes. You find the friend first and then the artistic sharing follows.

Please take no offense but going solely by this being posted on reddit... Get off the internet and start living in the real world. If 99% of the people here did that, they wouldn't have to make IRL friends to go to a concert with.

Again, please take no offense, just an observation regarding redditors and the internet as a whole.

I would say I am very much a ‘real world’ person. I don’t spend that much time online (Reddit, social media etc) but going to concerts is quite new to me. I’ve tried going alone and my anxiety doesn’t make it very easy for me to enjoy it by myself or pick up the courage to speak to strangers. So I’m just looking for other ways to enjoy them. Thanks though!
