The words are ones to live your life by.

"You are the crown of creation and you've got no place to go. Soon you'll have taken the stability you strive for, in the only way that it's granted: in a place among the fossils of our time."

Sounds a bit like Kanye trashing his career, doesn't it?

Then there's the punchline:

"Life is change. How it differs from the rocks. I've seen their ways too often for my liking. New worlds to gain. My life is to survive and be alive for you."

I first heard the song when I was about 9 or 10 years old and while I didn't understand the words at the time, at 55 I do, and I realise that one song shaped the way I live my life -- frugally and as offgrid as is feasible. I have indeed lived my life so far to survive and be alive for you.

I recommend Runaway and Jesus walks both also by Kanye. If you found Never Let Me Down interesting they should be too. I also recommend the song 4 Your Eyez Only by J. Cole if you like deeper music. If you don't like lyrical rap I recommend 21 questions by 50 cent. Also money trees by Kendrick Lamar one of my favorites.

Agree on The Greatest Showman soundtrack. Near perfection.

The reason I ever even knew about Josh Groban is because of Tom Berenger. Tom had a guest spot on Ally McBeal so I had to watch because Tom is AMAZING and so I watched and Josh Groban played his son and I heard him sing at the end of the show. Wow. Blown away. It was an extra treat to discover Josh and gaze upon Tom Berenger. 💜🎵💜🎵💜🎵
