Jefferson Shitface / Airplane / Starship / Starfish, whatever the fuck they were called at the time -- "Crown of Creation."
definitely a good song to take inspiration from - thank you
Hollywood Undead- Heart Of A Champion gets me motivated
I actually really like this song & its got a nice bass line and beat to it
I love the feel of this one and I can see how it can be motivating. It's a good song that gets you moving to the beat
The words are ones to live your life by.
"You are the crown of creation and you've got no place to go. Soon you'll have taken the stability you strive for, in the only way that it's granted: in a place among the fossils of our time."
Sounds a bit like Kanye trashing his career, doesn't it?
Then there's the punchline:
"Life is change. How it differs from the rocks. I've seen their ways too often for my liking. New worlds to gain. My life is to survive and be alive for you."
I first heard the song when I was about 9 or 10 years old and while I didn't understand the words at the time, at 55 I do, and I realise that one song shaped the way I live my life -- frugally and as offgrid as is feasible. I have indeed lived my life so far to survive and be alive for you.
Interesting, I’ve never heard a Kanye west song. I like the backing instruments and vocals, I didn’t enjoy the rapping. But that’s ok, I don’t like rap anyway.

Lightning Crashes by Live
I recommend Runaway and Jesus walks both also by Kanye. If you found Never Let Me Down interesting they should be too. I also recommend the song 4 Your Eyez Only by J. Cole if you like deeper music. If you don't like lyrical rap I recommend 21 questions by 50 cent. Also money trees by Kendrick Lamar one of my favorites.
Thanks for the recs!
Josh Groban ~ To Where You Are
Greatest Showman Soundtrack ~ This Is Me
The Greatest Showman Soundtrack songs are amazing pieces - I love them
To where you are is beautifully written - especially the last minute
St. Elmo's Fire is one of my favourite 80s songs
Lightening Crashes is also a really good song :)
I love the piano part of Runaway its so beautiful
I really like that analysis, especially the part 'life is change'. It's like nothing will be the same forever so you may as well live in the moment
Agree on The Greatest Showman soundtrack. Near perfection.
The reason I ever even knew about Josh Groban is because of Tom Berenger. Tom had a guest spot on Ally McBeal so I had to watch because Tom is AMAZING and so I watched and Josh Groban played his son and I heard him sing at the end of the show. Wow. Blown away. It was an extra treat to discover Josh and gaze upon Tom Berenger. 💜🎵💜🎵💜🎵
