I had to listen to this in its entirety. I couldn't understand a thing, and I listen to french music on a regular basis. This is gold, the music video just made the whole thing so much better

I was a bit skeptical at first, but it got me after a minute and 30s, really cool

Deva - Witchcraft

It's a little bit psychedelic, but I like how she mixes folk music with electronic tunes

it's amazing. I put it into one of my playlists, really really dig that style. It reminded me of Hotline Miami soundtrack (?), but waaay more calm and relaxing. Check out Knock Knock - Scattle, who knows, maybe you'll like it. Also thanks for that recommendation, really good

Ah Cina is from Ghana. And yes she's a gifted vocalist. The language is Ga.

Dobet Gnahoré is from the neighbouring country, Cote d'Ivoire.

One of the few songs I like from my province. "Le pic-bois" by Beau Dommage. A song from Quebec complaining about how living in a city isn't the same as in the woods in the countryside.

Vedno Si Sanjala Njega -Fredi Miler. Pretty sure he won Eurovision 5 times in a row with this same song. I don’t know, my wife is Slovenian and says this guy is top shit for her country.

I won't lie the album cover had me chuckle a bit lol. But I actually sort of liked it, it sounds like it came straight from the 80s even though it's from 2005, and that's always a good thing. I could totally see it playing in a movie sequence, no joke

My wife’s dad worked with the guy and I started getting a little bit too in to it, like I dressed up as him for Carnival in Slovenia and they dropped all of them off social media. I guess impersonation is not the biggest form of flattery. I broke that family relationship, but her dad was cool with it. Still a banger though.

"Ang Huling El Bimbo" by the Eraserheads. This is my favorite Filipino song of all time, from a band often touted as The Beatles of the Philippines. Absolutely epic song, with a moving story and great arrangement.

Here's the original music video:

And here's a version with captions of the lyrics translated into English.

It's a folk-pop song that pretty much all Swedes know.
