Something like this would be great for CAD work. I could type numbers on my left gand while mousing on the right hand and not have an unergonomic hand positioning while doing so.

Yeah, num pad on left works great for that. I have a num pad layer under my left side of my corne, which has been working well for CAD. More mouse space for gaming and normal hand placement for everything!
