Get yourself a 65% or 75%.
From your own comments you even contradict yourself in the manner of getting a 40% but not willing to learn / use the layers or function keys as often for these basic tasks.
I've looked at 40% and yeah it does look interesting. And I 100% agree, I'd throw the keyboard out the window too if I had to use FN keys to use simple strokes as backspace. 😂

I don't mind using layers for numbers, as I don't often need them. Ditto #$%^ etc. But digging for very basic things which I use every few seconds would be truly masochistic. I have a few more standard keyboards, an Epomaker and couple of Kludges - but the heftiness of this is lovely so if I do cave in and revert to something bigger it will probably be a Q2 or something like that. An altogether different kind of quality and really nice to type on.

Haha I can imagine, even though I really don't see the beneficial standpoint of 40% (yet), I've come to really like their formfactor and niche.
I've come from different sizes and happily landed on 75% as my last one now.
The rabbit hole is deep in this hobby, worse than when I was into the world of watches. 😅
