We can't mod that so why even bother? Also noone needs another screen especially one that is only for displaying fancy backgrounds lol

Not hating on it if you like it that's fine with me.

Controversial opinion… but people paid for the cyberboard…

I think it's just a waste of resources that could be used otherwise. Resources are limited and the more we use them for crap, the more expensive everything else gets.

A huge problem with the innovation here is that while it may be novel, and I would love to use one sometime, don’t get me wrong, is keycaps. Some spend a very large amount on keycaps, if not more for them than the board itself in certain cases. And the keycaps 99.9% of people own/collect/use are opaque. So you must use transparent keycaps in order for this to not just appear as normal RGB PCB underglow under normal operating conditions, which seems like it could be a sizable snag for many.

I have a starlight and I think this is a massive gimmick. It’s a fancy pre-built.

I knew it would be stupid and their hype would be for something that's either been done before or so gimmicky that even if it is novel, it's completely absurd and pointless. I seriously hope people stop supporting companies like this that use hype and limited availability to profit. I'm definitely biased due to me already disliking the company from my time in the gaming mouse hobby, but this keyboard is actually somehow worse than what I expected (and the bar was already very low).

If they made it easy to add animations to it, that would be a form of modding it, though not in a way that would affect typing characteristics, which I wonder how nice it'll be to type on, somehow I suspect it'll be some type of membrane keyboard

Yeah those were my thoughts after seeing this thing posted for the second time.

I mean your fingers and hands are going to be on top blocking whatever is displayed.

I guess this is for people who constantly remove both their hands from their keyboard everytime they finish typing something and look down with glee at the "aesthetics"? Kind of odd if you ask me.
