I started a new job last week and they use Razed and Corsair keyboards with clicky switches and it’s just not my jam. Used a bit of fun money to make my own for the office!

  • Keychron Q1 v2 with knob
  • C3 Tangerines (lubed)
  • GMK Laser round 2 (spacebar kit in on the way)

It sounds slightly hollow and the enter and spacebar are a bit loud so I’m probably gonna get some foam for it, but otherwise I love it. VIA is also great to use with it, I much prefer it to QMK. I might look for a novelty knob for it too, but we’ll see.

Okay the key caps look absolutely incredible on that case. I’m curious what it sounds like

Just FYI, VIA is an app for customizing layouts and features on a board running QMK with VIA support. I like it, too, but it's not a separate firmware, as much as an optional feature of QMK. A lot of boards built for QMK but which didn't originally support VIA can be updated to support it.

There are also other GUIs available for customizing QMK boards, e.g. VIAL, reportedly due to limitations of VIA, but I haven't gotten into those, yet.
