Did custom gameboys or keyboards come first?

i built the GBA first, then the keeb, and recently got back into gameboys and built the dmg and the pocket

I started building gameboy before I built keyboards, so I wanted to see if it was a gateway drug. I ended up building 5 different gbc and gbas.

Added rechargeable batteries upgraded the speaker on the GBC too and added a little amp. Was pretty fun times.
