lol...
KBDfans gonna have to start changing their model names to comply with Reddit.

Also, cool keyboard. I've been tempted by the HHKB version.

Hahaha yeah

It's nice, not sure it was worth how much the whole thing cost me in CAD (with keycaps) but definitely nice.

Those Reddit bots are absolutely annoying now. I hope someone fixes it soon. They ruin the user experience in this subreddit by flagging each post with some irrelevant crap.

Beautiful build!
Does the PCB support stepped caps? Looking at the OG60 product page the plate looks like it it only supports standard Caps Lock, but the OG60 accessories page image of the PCB shows the flipped socket for Stepped Caps Lock.

Nice board and keycap set!
But is it coincidence that it looks a bit like Space Cadet? Is it some clone or did you combine other sets to get a similar look?

Just received my hhkb variant of the OG60 Retro. Build quality is fantastic. Looking forward to building it up this weekend.

I don't remember the plate supporting stepped caps (I could confirm later on the FR4 plate), but they have released stepped caps plate files for you to get your own made - I think the PCB does, it's the same PCB as the new Tofu (2.0? I'm not totally sure) PCB

It's KAT Space Cadet - less expensive (still expensive lol), but I still would replace it with SA in a heartbeat if I found a set.

Nice! I left the HHKB layouts to my HHKB, WKL felt more true to the G80 this was styled after - the sound with Gateron Pro Silvers on this board is superb (I used the PC plate)

Nice. How's the typing experience on the PC plate? Do you know if it differs a lot from the FR4 plate?
Planning on using lubed and filmed black ink V2s on mine.
Deductivemonkee OP t1_j8yi6mc wrote
I chose the PC over FR4 as I've built way too many (hundreds) of FR4 sandwich keyboards, and don't care for the feel or sound whatsoever anymore. It's got a good amount of flex using the gasket mount.
IMO - FR4 plates are only good purely for how cheap they are, nothing more.

hmm interesting! Maybe a potential pickup later.

I'm generally an SA guy but one thing I'll say about KAT caps is they sound better with all my builds, especially the mod keys. Currently rocking Space Cadet on my daily.

Ah I see. Thanks. I hope we‘ll get a MTNU Space Cadet set.

I love the grey color of the case. Makes me want to paint my keebs

The lighting in the photo is off, it's a darker creamy beige

Well now I'm confused. My world has been turned upside down and now I don't know what color I want!

You still want the beige - beige is king

Just built my og60 up. Do you feel like the sound of yours on key press is a little metallic? I noticed they keys by the edge of the case, like tab, backspace etc sound a little more metallic when typing.
Deductivemonkee OP t1_j9deev5 wrote
Hey - no metallic noise whatsoever. I used all included foam, the PC plate, gasket mount, with Gateron Pro Silver 2.0 switches.
