It was never a promlematic concept. Guess what? People of different ethnic backgrounds don't go to restaurants where their own food is made by white people, or any other group, if they can actually help it. That's just a fucking fact.
Go to any big city and if you want to know if the food is good- it means that people of the same ethnic background of the food being served will be eating there. And you know, it goes both ways. I didn't like eating "Pizza" when I was in Korea, either.
Also, for the record, if I was really close minded I would have walked out of those places as soon as I got a look at at them. But I'll give anyone a chance. The problem is, they very rarely get it right.
Get over yourself.

I guesss you can't argue any of the points I made, huh? It's okay.

Of course I can but if you really were willing to engage in good faith you wouldn’t have deleted your post as soon as you got called out. Life is too short to feed trolls from CA

There's not much point if people start calling me names. What can you say when you have that kind of ugly leveled at you? I know that Mainers hate everyone "from away" so of course they are going to hate the fact that I said something negative about their state, regardless of whether or not it's true.
This forum in particular is very popular for pretending that Maine isn't without it's troubles. I've even heard someone defend the lack of ethnic diversity by saying that if more people of color come in, crime rates will go up! I mean, the racism is ugly and blatant.
There's nothing more that Mainers hate more than change. You're mostly a bunch of very kind and nice people, but stubborn as all fuck. You resist change as if it's 1950, and it's the most absurd thing I've ever seen.
Once more people of color actually start opening restaurants, then more locals will know what authentic ethnic food tastes like. I seriously look forward to that day, because all the white folks will have to start getting more creative and less bland.
