This was in the 60's /70's and I think it was where the Main Tavern is. The owner was always in a suit and acted as the maitre' d. I believe he was Greek.

Yeah, he was the most interesting part of it...although the cheeseburgers and fries were good. He almost, if not always wore a suit and saw you to the table or booth. He had a thickish accent and would ask " How Many ?", and then say "Pleasure" as he sat us...usually just me and my mom. We both loved the place and the quirky guy. It was very clean in there.

It's funny I don't remember him, but I do remember the restaurant. I always enjoyed being there.

This is hearsay, as I was a young straight male, but I believe my mom said " He is very handsome" more than once !

I think I do. It was kind of the quintessential downtown small restaurant. I don't think many like that exist any more, but they used to be everywhere. A friend quit school and got a job there circa 1973. I don't remember the food especially, and there really was nothing special about the restaurant but I do remember it.
