Have read online about all the cash purchases the last two years, didn't really believe it was such a thing until seeing these stats first hand. I think these links will work for anyone, even though they came from Facebook, but if they don't let me know and I'll attach screenshots

Those must be some of the cheapest counties in Maine? $175K is pocket-change for some people.

They might be a bit more expensive but what else might account for the swapped prevalence of cash vs conventional between counties?

Something to consider is a lot of “cash” deals are funded through HELOCs which obscure the definition imo. These HELOC funded “cash” acquisitions are then later refinance into permanent financing. HELOCs coming from preexisting homes, family members properties, etc.
