I'm living off Route 1 in Scarborough and looking for a scenic, curvy drive while the roads are relatively clear this weekend. Do you have one in mind, however short or long, near or far?

Oh, yeah, Rt 88 is awesome! I’ve only been on it once but loved it. Thanks for reminding me!
Turn onto S Freeport Rd from Route 1 where Yarmouth meets Freeport. Use the side roads to make it to Pleasant Hill Rd and ride that all the way to Brunswick. Once you're in Brunswick, there are a few ways to get over to Harpswell Rd and then you can take that all the way to the end of the islands.
Old Canada Road. AKA Route 201
The route 5 stretch from Limerick to Cornish was one of my favorite. The whole of route 5 from Old Orchard to Cornish is good.
113
In fact, 113 over to the Kanc (112) is gorgeous but I would be concerned about ice right now.
Nothing wicked curvy here but we used to like taking the bike up route 25 to NH, 202 to NH, or 202 to Augusta. 302 from Portland to NH…
Scenic #182 in millbridge, maybe up #200 up toward Amherst.
Blackswoods road.
RT5 gets my vote as well. It’s well taken care of and has minimal potholes. Favorite stretch is the 50mph zone from Saco to the rotary in Dayton.
Is the Kangamagus Highway open in winter?
Route 11 from Patten to Fort Kent is absolutely amazing.
Home
Rt 26 up through Grafton Notch is one of my favorites.
Add 117 from Hiram to Denmark on that run and pop out on 302 in bridgton for a good little loop.
Yeah 182 is real nice. The stretch by Tunk lake and (I think) Long pond especially.
Rt9 is now quite lovely
Took my husband on this drive for his birthday. It was beautiful.
I went on a vacation to Quebec City and took 201. It's a beautiful drive once you get north of Solon.
Rte 4 from Farmington to Rangeley or the opposite rte 17 from Rangeley to Rumford. Although you should look into the road conditions lol.
Rt 113 (the part they close in winter)
Rt 27 (all of it is great but the northern half from Augusta to Canada is the best)
US 201 (this time from Skowvegas to Canada)
Rt 220 from Waldoboro to Unity
And finally, any road that doesn’t have any lines painted on it, that has no visible power lines, and no houses: e.g. the Mayall RD in Gray. It’s short, but sweet
201, especially between Moscow and The Forks.
That little access road that goes along Sommes Sound north of northeast harbor.
Rt.35
Yes:
“Not unlike other areas in the region, the Kancamagus, known to locals as “The Kanc”, is home to an abundance of hiking trails, walking paths, picturesque ponds, natural wonders, and many other must-see stops. It is open year-round, although the only major intersection, Bear Notch Road, which connects the highway to the town of Bartlett, is closed during the winter months.”
Took the kanc home from Xmas in VT. Stopped at 10pm to pee on the shoulder. In all that time I didn't see or hear another car or any signs of life. Very nice. Left my car running just in case.
It has a nice overlook just uphill from the junkyard.
There's a sweet "north 113" that's seasonally maintained in NH. North of 302.
Nice. I'll check it out.
Betcha 3/4 of these were found by exploring. Take off and get lost. If you live here then there will be plenty of options. From Scarborough start in York County. It is surprisingly rural and beautiful.

Route 88 from Falmouth to Yarmouth is scenic and historic and not too far from you
You could also just keep driving up Route 1. Some of it isn’t that interesting but it hugs the coast and goes through a lot of old towns, and the places where you can see the water are always lovey
I personally love Route 17 towards Rangeley, with a stop at Height of Land, but that’s quite a haul from where you are, and I don’t know what road conditions are like up there currently
There’s also the Kangamagus Highway in NH that is lovely, although again, be alert for winter road conditions
