My soon to be sister in law is getting married to my BIL (my husband’s brother) on Friday. They live out of state, but are here to get married at the end of the week! The bride wants to get brunch (the two of us, plus my 1 year old) this week. Last time I brunched was a million years ago…where can I take her to have a nice/festive/cute brunch? Not a fan of Becky’s - I have never left without food poisoning (and it’s not the vibe for this occasion). I think when I last brunched we went to Bayside? Or the Corner Room? It was at least a decade so idk- You guys gave the best dinner with a child recs last time I submitted an inquiry!! THANK YOU 💖

I've heard good things about Hot Suppa. Tried to go once and there was a 1.5 hour wait. Seems like a recommendation in and of itself

Maybe check out The Friendly Toast? I haven't been to the one in Portland (it's new) but I have been to the one in Portsmouth, NH and it was good. Lots of stuff on the walls for 1 yo to look at.

this is a good place to start your search.

There’s a ton of brunch options around here. A few I like:

Hot suppa: food is dynamite, but you can’t make reservations and seating is limited, so there’s nearly always a wait.

Friendly toast just recently opened and I thought it was very good. It’s not fancy or anything, but it is fun and festive (I guess).

Dutches is also very good, but it’s super casual and no wait service.

It’s been a while since I’ve been, but the Front Room makes a good brunch.
