Why can’t we go back to the days of hydro electric power? That’s clean energy yes? I remember Maine had Bangor Hydro for years and years. How come they scrapped it?

Hydroelectric CAN be clean but quite often it causes more problems. Especially with dams blocking waterways, fish etc. Also altering the landscape/environment.
