Thank you! Do you know a site where I can find fishing spots available on January 2nd? I was trying to research online and emailed a few charters and businesses, but it seems no listing is available on January 2nd, which is a huge bummer. My parents never have the time to go on a vacation so I wanted to make the trip memorable. It could just be a list of fishing spots that are free on that date.

I would recommend seeing if botanical gardens have any slots left. Worth a ride up there. If you like Christmas lights :)

I would recommend hitting the Duckfat Frites shack instead of the original location as it's usually packed. They dont have the same extensive menu, but you can still get the fries, and they have rotating food, which is always good.

Also, I'd say rent some snowshoes and hike pleasant mountain (1 hour from portland), or bradbury (25 from portland)

Not much fishing going on at the moment. Ice fishing also probably won't be happening unless we get a deep, sustained freeze, which is not forecast.

Wolf Neck Woods State Park in Freeport is nice for a hike. Gilsland Farm (Audubon) in Falmouth.

Might want to bring ice traction for your shoes for any hiking/walks.

State Park sounds great, and I love animals so a wildlife sanctuary would be pretty awesome.
