If any of you had the unfortunate experience of driving through a street awash in seawater (even a couple of inches), get thee to a car wash asap. Use a self service wash where you can direct the wand under the body carriage and inside the hood where the salt water splashed up on the engine.

Sea water generally is worse. There’s more of it and it will get everywhere, road salt usually just gets in the wheel well, frame and the body.
