All depends on the bouncer/bartender…
But most likely yes, get it updated if you can.
Not from Maine but thank you for trying to help
My mother in law was denied from OPT at like 55 because her license was expired. Your screwed.
At all the breweries? At most? At some?
I mean you might get lucky.. I’ve been going for years now and still get my ID checked 75% of the time
Of course, they’ll check it. I assumed that. I mean will they all be dicks and say “it’s expired, no dice.”
You’ll probably have a better chance at the breweries to get served.. a lot of bouncers in Old Port will be dicks about it
I think they’re more likely to check the expiration of out of state ID’s. I’d say do everything you can to renew it prior to the weekend. Most states give a paper temp or a sticker. Does your state allow you to renew online? Given it’s a bachelorette party, I’d say you’re on the hook to make sure it won’t be an issue. Ugh. So sorry for this timing!
Use your passport and you’ll be fine
When I worked at circle k I was ordered to deny a 90 year old man an alcohol sale because his ID was expired. Maine is very weird about that
My bank, one that I have multiple accounts with, tried to tell me they wouldn't accept my 3 day expired license to cash a check once. When I explained that I would move all my business to another bank if that were the case they suddenly decided to make an exception.
Many breweries are checking and denying if your ID is expired. Go get that renewed or you might be SOL on going out in Portland.
Yeah but the old port tavern wouldn't make that exception...
Every fucken one a yous was wrong. Thanks for nuthin (Maine was great, though. Love Becky’s diner)

Yeah there’s security at the front of all the bars. If you don’t have a valid ID you’ll probably get turned away. You’ll probably find a few that won’t look at the expiration date, but it’s not a plan for success. Did you get a new temporary paper ID at least while you wait for your new one?
