Any area that has organizations for young Jews? We do not have a YJP like other states. A Moishe house in the area? I know of temples and such but looking to see where the young Jews are now that demographics have shifted so drastically since the pandemic.

My best friend here (up North) is Jewish and she does stuff with the Unitarian church. I don’t think there are enough Jews here of any age to make a club.
Maine is a desirable place to visit so maybe some friends you meet in NYC or wherever can come visit if you have a guest room; that’s what I do.
Maybe reach out to the Chabad Of Portland and see if they have or know fof anything

Orgs such as the one I am inquiring about, do not usually have any recognition from a temple. But thank you!

Chabad of Portland is definitely your best bet! And can we please get some kosher food/restaurants? I come in from NY every few weeks and it’s just such a drag to have to bring everything…
My Jewish summer clients are fans of Market Basket. Sorry I don't have kosher specifics, but I know they like it as a source of provisions that tend to be harder to find in Maine.
If only we could get a Liebman's Deli up this way, preferably run by actual Jewish folks and not Matty from Ska'bro.

Try contacting the JCA in Portland; they have a wide array of programming and work with area congregations, etc. I, myself, am looking to connect with Jews of any age who live in The Berwicks/Wells/Sanford area, since there are no synagogues in this part of York County. A chavurah, whether just for social or also to daven, would be great. Kol tuv!
