Topsham's hannaford is either too busy or just terrible. It takes them over 24 hours to fill a pill prescription and I just don't think this is normal. It's not a one time thing, this is with every prescription me, my son or my partner need.

If they're refills you can set up a refill plan with them and that's been flawless for me. But at the beginning of a plan or a random prescription I need I've very rarely gotten same day service across multiple locations

I’m over in Bath and we experience the same thing with Walgreens and CVS, I think this is more of an industry wide problem.

If you have meds that you’re on constantly then sign up with an online pharmacy and the refills come automatically. Hell, even CVS does this.

I've had no problems getting my monthly refill at my local Hannaford, but my s/o has experienced issues with non-recurring prescriptions a few times.

Given how frequently people complain about pharmacies on Reddit, I'd say delays likely the norm now. You should expect any new prescription to take 24 hours to fill. If you find a super-efficient pharmacy that seems better, please let us know!

Thanks, I likely won't search around. I'm new to frequent pharmacy visits so I didn't knownif this was normal or not.

Best of luck. American healthcare and ancillary systems are absolutely atrocious.

Have you tried mail-order? Much more convenient. You don't have to keep going out every time you need a prescription. And it's mostly no hassle. Really, the only hassle I've had involving them is with a prescription that hardly any pharmacy covers--had to go through my secondary insurance to pay for it since my primary wouldn't, but it wasn't too bad.

I use I-Care Pharmacy in Fort Fairfield. Never had to go there once. Great people, great service, and barring any mail delays, I usually get my prescriptions in a couple days. They call you when they notice you need a refill on a prescription, too.

Huh. CVS in Freeport filled my new script in less than an hour. I have even had narcotics (from oral surgery) filled by the time I have driven from surgeon to the store to pick them up
